Let’s Work Together

As a conservationist, making a strategic impact is my top priority for my photography and films. As a freelance photographer and filmmaker, I specialize in helping forest restoration organizations raise understanding and support for prescribed fire and forest thinning, but I also have intimate experience with grassland, river, and wetland conservation. I focus on Fort Collins and northern Colorado but also work throughout the Mountain West and Great Plains.

I conduct my freelance work through Evan Barrientos Multimedia, LLC and carry business liability insurance, adhere to strong social and wildlife photography ethics, and am an FAA-certified drone pilot.

If you’re in need of a freelance photographer or filmmaker to help you advance conservation, please contact me at barrientosevan@gmail.com to schedule a free consultation.

Testimonials

“We were fortunate to have Evan's passion, professionalism, and talent on this project! He is committed to telling a story that not only educates and informs, but also compels viewers of his work to care more deeply about the state of their forests. The content and quality of his work is so important to the future of the watershed.”

-Maria Pezza, The Watershed Center

"Evan Barrientos is the rare conservation communicator who has a robust foundation in science in land stewardship. That background gives him both credibility and a deep well of knowledge to draw from as he crafts stories. In addition, Evan recognizes the value of engaging a diverse audience in discussions about environmental challenges, which is the only path to long-term success. Combining all those qualities with exceptional photo and video talent makes Evan an invaluable resource for the conservation community."

-Chris Helzer, Nebraska Director of Science, The Nature Conservancy

“The context of space and change over time are critical for understanding and appreciating forests, challenging two-dimensional pictures that struggle to capture their essence. By using unique settings and a careful eye to detail, Evan’s photos help tell the stories of the forest. In southwestern Oregon they have helped our successful outreach and engagement efforts to build a coalition in support of increased forest restoration and progressive fire management.”
